The International Academy of Greenwich is a non-selective, state-funded secondary school offering a curriculum based on the International Baccalaureate and a focus on modern European languages. We are open to all, regardless of background or ability.
London is a truly great international city and we offer an excellent education which will prepare young people for an increasingly globalised world. Our Academy wants both students who don’t yet speak another language but are motivated to learn and those who are keen to capitalise on the languages they use at home.
Speaking a foreign language is considered the norm at the Academy – you will hear many languages spoken in our classrooms and corridors. Students will, with the help of our highly qualified and talented staff, become independent thinkers.
Just as important, they will become confident young people who understand the value of service to others and respect other cultures.
The International Academy of Greenwich is a small school admitting 125 students in Year 7. This enables us to create a close, caring community, which welcomes parents, sets high expectations for behaviour and supports all students on their journey to adulthood.
